Fuel Pump Not Firing

Recommended Posts

djinuk

I did a gti6 conversion using spikys loom etc, and it was running fine, then i removed the dash etc and painted inside the car, then a year later put it all back together and the fuel pump isnt firing unless i give it power direct, which parts of the loom should i look into being the culprit ?, or maybe relays, or could it be the ecu ? car turns over etc, just no priming off the pump at all, when i give it direct the car fires into life.

Check the multiplugs, the thick white wire is your fuel pump wiring, check you have voltage.

If it was a lock ECU it would not fire at all as voltage to the injectors and coilpacks are cut.

Might be worth trying another double relay, little black box near ecu.

not sure about the clocks all lighted up, i have most the gauges etc, does some of the fuel pump wiring go to the back of the clocks, ill check the shunt box but i presume its got power as everything else is working i/e its sparking/ cranking etc.

I think the fuel pump gets power from the fuse board, but could be wrong. Been a while since I looked

It's the black box behind the ecu. Double ignition relay is the name of it.

Unplug and plug it in a few times, terminals might be corroded
