Location Of Sad

Hi all,

 

I think im being really stupid, still looking to cure my idle problem but not sure where the SAD is? I know its below the dizzy but can only see what i presume is the heater controlvalve(maybe)

 

Am i looking in the wrong location or do i need to remove something to get a clear look at it?--ive got the air intake AFM and battery out at the moment.

 

Any help would be great cos i feel pretty daft atm

This is it. As you say it is located under the distributor.

there is a water housing under the dizzy the SAD is bolted to the underneath of that.

Not always, the last of the phase 2 cars did away with the water housing with the CTS in the back of the thermostat housing rather than the seperate housing & the SAD bolts straight to the side of the thermostat housing.

well mines a G reg so 88 plate --that would make it a phase 1.5?

 

still havent located it. I think i may need to take the battery out to get a good look!

Yeah, an 88 / G plate should be phase 1.5 so I would expect it to have a short hose from the side of the thermostat housing to the CTS housing with the SAD bolted underneath that.
