Recommended Posts

Hi

Im in the process of wiring in my dta ecu but i have come across three sensor that im not sure which pin is which.

First one is the coil, the plug is shown in the bottom of the photo.

Next is the TPS

Last one is the crank position sensor

This is a s1 106 rallye engine but im sure it will be the same as 205's.

If anyone can identify which pin is which on each plug would help me out a huge amount.

Thanks

Will

Coil pack, pins 1 and 2 go to the ECU, pin 3 is 12V and pin 4 is ground

TPS, pin 1 is 5V, pin 2 is ground and pin 3 goes to ECU

Flywheel sensor, pins 1 and 2 go to ECU and pin 3 is ground.

Hope that helps.

Disagree slightly on coilpack, 1 and 2 are from ignition drivers on ECU, pins 3 and 4 are common, needs a 12v supply to either one of them, the other can either be left disconnected, or can be connected to ground via a suppressor. If you connect it straight to ground you will short out your 12v feed to the coil and blow the fuse.

I have just checked my wiring diagrams and Tom is correct. Ignore my info on the coil pack.

Thanks very much for the replies, very helpful indeed.

Lastly on the cranksensor it's labelled pin 1,2,3 but not on the coil or tps, do you know which pin is which number?

Thanks

Will

look at the locating tabs around the plugs, they'll be numbered the same way typically, i.e there's 2 large ridges on one side and a single ridge on the other side - its location varies and is usually colour coded.

check the plugs on the loom as these are usually numbered too.
