well the rally we were supposed to be doing this weekend was cancelled so

I started stripping my spare shell

all the interior out and all the seam sealer from inside the car removed

also got the seat crossmembers out-

did the speyside stages rally at the weekend, first time out in the forests

much more fun in the forests although we did have some problems

first two stages were on tarmac around cooper park in elgin, wasn't to keen on them and they were very short

next stage was our first in the forest and we were all over the place but still came out in 75th place out of 94

stage 4 was going really well until we cut a long corner to much and spun into the ditch

with both front wheels of the ground, also there was no spectator access to the stage so we were on our own

getting the car out

5 minutes later we were on our way again but we were last on the stage and 3rd last overall

over the next three stages we were getting quicker but were still having problems with the intercom

the sound had been fuzzy throughout the day and I had been struggling to hear what Del was saying

it wasn't till we were waiting to start the last stage we worked out it was our phones that had been interfering with the signal

the last stage, 8 was a cracker, and we set 47th fastest time but only managed 62nd overall and 8th in class

but at least we finished and the car needed nothing done at service except fixing the cosmetic damage from the off

and a tyre that was soft got changed

some incar-

the floor of mine was well dented when I got the car, the only damage from the weekend was the rear valance

and numberplate were destroyed

the roads were in surprisingly good condition considering we were car 90

I just used a normal drill bit, think it was about 8mm, went right through in places but easy enough to weld up

finally getting a bit more time to work on my spare shell, this one-

all the seam welding is done, seat rails welded in strengthening done

sunroof blanked off, dont like it when there is a panel rivited over the top

so joggled the edge off a bit of plate to get it to fit the gap a bit better-
