Gti6 Cam Cover Leaking

As above really, on my XU9J4/RS engine we cant stop the oil leaking from the cam covers (rocker cover,cam box), we have used some loctite instant gasket

silicone stuff, but it still leaks, what do other people use,

 

the engine is freshly built running about 12.5 - 1 Cr. using a complete new XU7JP4 breather hose set up,

Any good quality RTV sealant. Remove any old stuff and clean the area with methylated spirit.

 

Remember to tighten the bolts in a certain sequence like what it says to do in the Haynes manual, so the pressure of the cam cover is spread out evenly.

Well if the standerd seal is missing then its not idea but you need to put a very thick amount of sealer between head and cam cover.
