Oil Temp Bulb?

Recommended Posts

smithy

Currently got clocks out of the pug and have noticed there is a blank bulb hole at top end of oil temp gauge.

It looks like it is for an orange high temp warning light, should it have a bulb fitted of is it for cars with an extra temp sensor? It does not look like there has ever been a bulb fitted in there.

This is a different the EML one I can see is above gauge.

The one I mean is at the end of oil temp needle sweep, same as red light for water over temp.

There's no switch for high oil temp, so even if there was a bulb there's nothing to switch it on.
