Differences Between 6 And 7 Pin Ignition Modules.

Chaps,

im currently trying to get an s16, fitted with twin 45's, 8v loom, dizzy adapter, running and somethings baffling me

i have 5 ignition modules. 3 aftermarket and two bosch 0 227 100 123's. the bosch ones are 6 pin, they run my own 1.9 mi16 (two row loom) perfectly but they will not produce a spark on this s16. if i run these 3 aftermarket 7 pin modules on my mi16 it runs like s*ite. The 3 aftermarket will produce a spark but tend to weaken right down after 5 seconds of cranking or so on the s16. doing away with the dizzy and putting a plug directly into the king lead and the same happens. coil is ok as its tested on my own mi16 and it runs that fine.

battery is new diesel type, loom is perfect. all voltages where they should be. all earths intact and in perfect condition but the rev counter bounces around like a loon on speed  which makes me think module fault as above.

thing i cant get my head around is why the 6 pin modules will not produce a spark on this 8v loom. i had my brothers car up here last night and his is an 91 1.9 8v cti, same loom as this s16 but his runs a 6 pin bosch module. i tried his module and no spark. his module is wired exactly the same as mine so heres where im properly stumped.

anyone had this before?
