205 Gti Judders At Low Revs

Recommended Posts

I have just had lots of work on the engine nearly everything new.. had new clutch..

When i find my bite on the clutch which i am finding correctly im not kangorooing the clutch..

I come off my clutch and when i accelerate slowly anywhere between 1000-2000 rpm the car just tugs and rocks.. (asif ur tapping the accelerator on and off)..

Once i put foot down its fine its just awful in any gear under 2k rpm..

We have set the ignition timing up as best we can but i think it is still out would this be a symptom?

Cheers

start with the basics.

check for air leaks, ignition leads breaking down, condition of dizzy cap and rotor arm

then get the co% checked/adjusted and the ignition timing set up properly with timing light.

Changed AFM: still same

No air leaks :(

It just judders along unless your foots down..

Could it be a sensor ..?

Its like it kangooring all the time hot or cold

you need to get a timing light and set the timing right as this can make difference, also have you checked the dizzy cap/rotor arm if the centre contact in the cap has gone it'll throw sparks everywhere
