ok as it says i have a nice milky can of oil i have just drained out of my mi16 engine which is a bit gutting because i have spent the last week after work till 11.00 every night putting it back in the 205!!!!started up fine ran it till it got to temp everything working, brilliant!!took it for a short run, bout 2 miles got back checked fluid levels coolant was down a bit oil did'nt look right on the dip stick so undone the oil drain plug to let a bit out into a cup and milk!!! immediate thoughts are head gasket but that was all done properly, well as to the haynes book, any thoughts?

this happened to me on my gti6 engine. headgasket is fine though so it either points towards me not fitting the head properly or cracked head.

im just putting it back together and hoping for the best. if it does it again i'll buy a new engine.

i would suggest taking the head back off and having the head tested if the gasket is fine.

welcome btw :)

Disturbed liner seal would be my guess if you've recently had the head off :(

When you put the head back on - did you remember the 'one' head bolt spacer?

If you miss that, you typically end up with water all over the floor as the bolt holes the waterpump housing, rather than water in the oil.
