Indicators

Tonight I put my front end back together on my Gti after putting all the power steering back to the standard positions.

 

I started the car to bleed the PS and knocked the indicator stalk, I got a fast flash. Got out looked, no NS repeater or front indicator. So I put the hazards on and had a look. Only the tail light flashers are now working.

 

I thought hey ho and went inside. Sort it tomorrow...

 

Now it's bugging me as I can't think what plug I have upset to disconnect the front 4 indicators???

 

Any guesses?

Earth connection on them crappy blocks behind headlamps????

The electrical connections around the front end are so temperamental! You only have to breathe inside the car to disturb one of the indicator connections sometimes.

 

Your best bet is to unplug the connectors and give them a good cleanup with some light emery paper, it should help things.

Had a bit of a look last night. It was tge brown plugs that connect tge indicators to the loom (both sides) were corroded and crap.

 

While I was at it I cut out the earthing blocks and converted them to ring connectors.
