Rear Axle Widths

Hi all,

Very quick question for someone to answer hopefully!

 

Is the 205 1.9 GTi rear axle wider than a base spec item with rear drums?

 

If so, by how much?

All 205 beam tubes are the same width, 309 one is wider

 

 

The trailing arms on the base model,1.6 and 1.9 all have different values of camber and toe though

Theres obviously some difference as the 1.9 uses different stub axles and rear hubs but its not a lot

The 1.9 is a fair bit wider at the rear than the base model, due to the different stub axles\hubs offset etc. The actual beam itself has the same dimensions. After doing my rear disc conversion, the wheels do stick out a lot further from the arches than they used to!
