300cc injectors will massively overfuel I'm afraid - standard 1.9 injectors are 214cc.

Are you sure that the injectors suffered though? Normally the fuel filter would stop anything sucked up from the tank from getting anywhere near the injectors.

yer the fuel filter looks really old which cant be right can it?

apart from me wasting money on petrol what damage could it do as i was going to use them as spare while i get mine cleaned

I'd buy a spare set of standard injectors and get those cleaned than risk putting ones that big in there.

Shame I was hoping I could put them in and somehow lean off the fuel o well I've bought some second hand 762 to use while I get mine cleaned and think I'll go for a a 106 GTI fuel filter as I heard it's simple to fit

I'd just fit a standard filter, less hassle changing the fuel lines.

if it was a mappable ecu you might be able to use those injectors, buit on good old clockwork Jetronic, No chance

Ok looks like I'm sellin those injectors then

I already bought a 106 filter as I have been reading people moaning about the banjo fitting on the 205 one and sayin the 106 was easier to replace thought I'd give it a go this weekend I'm bored now the football seasons over

typically people moan because many filters done come with the copper washers and they dont bother changing them, they do go hard over time and often dont seal properly, fit new ones and you'll be fine.

They're cheap enough from a Peugeot dealer tbh, and I know my one has them in stock as well.

As a last gasp attempt if you can't get the copper sealing washers from anywhere is to anneal them again.

Heat the old ones up until they are glowing (gas hob works fine) & let them cool naturally, then they should seal / squash again.

This is only for an absolute last ditch attempt though if you can't get new ones, they are odd sizes which most motor factors won't stock.

Peugeot part numbers are...

156244 (x2) - upper fuel filter seals @ 32p each inc VAT

156245 (x2) - lower fuel filter seals @ 49p each inc VAT

You need two of each, one for each side of the banjo.

(late cars seem to have 156256 listed for the lower seal @ 97p each, but I'm not sure what the difference is as I'm sure I've always used the earlier type and certainly any filter that you buy only has one set of seals included, which I asssume to be the earlier sort)

There should be a flat on the fuel filter to hold it with a spanner so that you can undo the banjo on the top.

Ok managed to do it today and seems to have sorted it by replacing the injectors and fuel filter and doesn't seem to be leaking so thumbs up for the help
