Dturbo Injector Leak

hi,

 

noticed alot of fuel sprayed around the engine spanning from an injector, and also see it bubbling on blipping the throttle. So checked with a spanner and its deffintly done up tight.

 

so before i take it apart and lose use of the car as i need parts/leak gets worse, would anyone no if there are seals that are there to replace or is it a new injector.

There are a few seals.

 

Injector seal and fire ring off the top of my head. 2 per cylinder

Ones copper and the other I believe composite (red in colour?).

injector leak off pipes often perish and split causing diesel leaks. check those before condeming the injector.

ideal thanks mate, was hoping it would just be a seal.

think its deffinatly the injector, can see bubbles and fuel coming out between the head and injector, and the spill offs are all dry

ok. i have known high pressure pipes to crack, usually if the fuel pump mounting bolts are either loose or missing.
