Piston Rings On A Xu10J4Rs

Hi all finally managed to get a set of rings for my 6 but the oil control ring is a different set up to the originals, the rings are for an XU10 engine. The original ring was the spring type coil around a u shaped ring where as the new ones are 2 thin plates that sandwich a u shaped piece. Is this ok to use or are these the wrong type?

I've recently used these in my 6 engine, work fine although they were a bit of a twat to get in. What make were they out of curiosity? They're a bugger to find for the 6.

Phew was getting worried I'd got the wrong rings for Tom.

 

There's a few makes on front of the packet: Payen, Mogul Federal a couple that spring off the top of my head

There the buggers, The oil control rings do vary so nothing to worry about
