well I've got a set of compomotive cx's and they seem like ford fitement and touch the caliper where they slope down if you get me...

Just wanted to know what spacing people are using

6.0j x 13 x 21 - 33 NEG thats all I know about them

if they are Ford offset (33mm from those figures maybe) you probably need a 10mm spacer at least to clear the calipers properly, maybe more like 1mm if you're on base model or 1.9 hubs due to the lower offset than 1.6.

without finding someone who's used those wheels though its a case of trial and error.

Cheers, found some 32mm spacers on demontweaks for 20 a pair so its ok

They're DTURBO hubs

Would they sit out ridiculously far though?

Not again!! This has been covered numerous times before!

They are old shool ford fitment if they were off ebay a few weeks ago, which'll more likely be RWD offset, around 20mm, so perfect. But, they don't look it to me & the centre bore could well be and probably is different. Like all wheels they'll be manufactured differently so the internal clearance is hit & miss, so as said trial & error is the only way!

Why don't you actually measure them to find out the actual offset before spending money on spacers that you don't know will give the required spacing!

Baz- I'm pretty sure what i'm asking hasn't been covered as i've searched high n low, but if you know of any threads answering my Q's then please let me know :)

The centre hub hole is definatly to small on the rims as I tried tested them

and that isn't my main concern, its finding the right spacer so it clears the caliper and isn't sticking them out beyond the rallye arches as people have told me it will. Thats why i'm asking for help from people who'v fitted similar 13' alloys

Daviewonder- i'm currently using flat seated bolts but for these i'll use some tapered one's

Paul_13- no 205 Dturbo hubs, my cars a Dturbo

Thanks

The thread title is a question to which i know for a fact that has been asked many times and to a point, no one can help you if you're not willing to help yourself!! A friend runs Lotus Sunbeam wheels (13") on his 205 and Citroen Visa GTi's were fitted with them std iirc, which is the same as a 205 underneath!

You have the wheels, so as i say measure them and give us a clue then we might be able to help!

On the inside of the wheel find the very centre between the inner and outer rim. eg, if the overall width of the rim is 200mm, then find the 100mm mark on the inside, from there then measure to the mounting flange, this will leave a number which will tell you the offset; if the mounting flange is closer to the inner rim, the number will be a negative, but more commonly it'll be closer to the outer rim, giving you a positive number. Given as we know most pugs are ET18 or thereabouts, you/we can then ascertain the size of spacer you'll need to fit them! :D

I have some 3mm, 5mm, 15mm and 20mm spacers, they're not for sale but you're more than welcome to borrow a couple of each to give you a rough idea what you're after.

Well I found 6.0j x 13 x 21 - 33 NEG that stamped on the wheels, I do not have them with me at the mo as i'm at my GF's

I will measure when i'm back from work

Cheers Dave, could I pick them up tonight or weds night? I can trial fit them at college when I fit the tyres on

Thanks

Went round Daviewonders earlier to test what spacers where needed and it ended up needing 25mm spacers on a 106 GTI which uses the same brakes as mine, the back i'm guessing won't need much, so i'm buying some 20mm spacers off a member on here.

Just need some 5mm spacers and get tyres fitted

Going back a bit but I ran 13" XR2 pepperpots on my Visa which was the same brake setup as a stock 1.6 205. They cleared the calipers just but the centre bores didnt so I ran 6mm spacers up front and I had to run 10mm I think at the back but that was due to the tyre fouling the rear strut which is different to the 205 setup
