Mi16 With Xsi 8P Management

Just bought my self this 8P management.

Just wanted to now if there was a 'how to', little push in the good direction?

I don't think that will be a rev-happy engine...

8v ecu's don't have the same redline as 16v and the ignition map is probably far off..

 

So stick to the 16v ecu or go aftermarket...

depends if you can find someone who can re-map it, I take it this is a MAP sensor and wasted spark Coil-Pack system?

Sow that they have DIS en no more mass meter

A mate runs his 106 gti 16v engine on 8v management, flies like a rocket. But maybe different for an MI.

The diff is not in the MI, but in the XSI; the 1.6 8v revs a little better than the 2.0 8v...

 

With a remap, you'll overcome the problem indeed. (I assumed that you didn't want to do that... :blush: )
