Differences Between Wing Mirrors

i have 2 phase 1 205 gtis, i got some phase 1 wing mirrors, the rounder type but they dont fit the holes in the doors, didnt realise they made different doors for the 205s, not much different but certainly the mirrors dont fit without modification to either the door or the mirror. i guess the other phase 1 style mirror fits slightly differently, can abybody shed some light on this? the cti is 85-86 so i thought it would have definatly had te earlier type phase 1 mirrors......
