Dkz And D6B Engine Advice

Recommended Posts

smithy

long story short i have a spare DKZ engine that i am going to use while i rebuild my DKZ.

the DKZ has got an alloy sump with cooling fins on it compared to my D6B having the standard tin type sump, what are peoples opinions on the DKZ sump is it worth fitting it to the D6B or is there no real benefit to justify the change?

Also i have noticed the DKZ has got an oil level sensor on the rear of engine does anyone know if they were actually wired up to work on 205's or is it something that is used on 405's?

Not sure on the sumps, but you can use the oil level sensor if you run bx 16v dials as they have the output for this, which is what im going to do.

Thanks for reply

Do the bx 16v clocks fit straight in with no modifications?
