Pad Carry To Caliper Bolts

Whats the best way of removing the poxy 5 sided bolts that hold the pad carrier to the caliper on bendix style front calipers?

theres a special socket available for them. there about a fiver from most motor factors.

It's a 19mm 5 sided socket. Mine cost me about £6

Depends if you want to put them back or not. If they are going back, as above you need the special socket. If not you can drill the heads off them.

If i cut the heads off to get them apart can i replace them with some normal bolts? ANybody got any idea on thread size and length?

By the time you've bought 4 new high tensile bolts it will have cost way more than the price of a 5 sided socket :unsure:
