Gti 6 Loom Compared To 406 Turbo Loom

am i losing the plot or is the xu10j2te loom almost identical to the 6/vts loom? im i the process of sorting out a turbo loom, the first i have done, the engine is running fine, ust the gauges to sort out now, many of the wire numbers on the turbo loom are the same as the vts loom, so i guess these will do the same thing?? ie wire 426 is the tacho wire on the 6 loom, wire 426 also is in the turbo loom so i take it that this is the tacho wire for the turbo???

 

are the other wire numbers which are te same for the same things too??

yup.

 

Looms aren't the same entirely as they are different ecu's and different engines+components, but the codes on them will be.

 

Only applies to the later cars, not older ones like the 205, though most on the 309 were the same as the 205 I think.
