Crank Balancing Clutch Cover

As above, does the actual cover matter, or must it be the same make.. is this the law of diminishing returns..?

 

advice welcome.

All I can tell you i my cover was balanced. It came back with markings on to ensure correct orientation on the flywheel. It also had visible material removed.

 

If you want it spot on, take the cover you will use.

Needs to be the cover you will use. There is no point having it balanced if you are going to be changing bits afterwards. The place I use engraves the flywheel and clutch cover with alignment markings to make sure it all goes back in the same place, and even etches a number on the bolts so they go back in the same place.
