don't bother! i tried both standard position compbrake pedal box and it was crap, built quality was terrible and didnt even fit in the hole! also tried a floor mounted one after that which wasnt very good either. clutch cable is a nightmare and ideally needs to be converted to hydraulic. i lost alot of money and ended up going back to the standard one, 406 m/c and a tilton bias valve which is spot on.

Ash, which floor mounted pedal box did you use? Was it just the clutch that was a problem as I have to convert mine to hydraulic anyway.

OBP one. clutch side of things would be ok if you ordered one to accept a clutch M/C

throttle pedal wasnt a very good design, struggled to get full throttle, almost like there wasnt enough sweep on the pedal.

my main issue with it was because its floor mounted the pedals are alot closer to the driver. this means the seat needs to back several inches, then the steering wheel, gearstick, dash etc feels to far away.

didnt like the quality of the product, apparantly its made for the 205 and uses the angle of the floor pan to mount it and is a simple bolt in job. i duno what car they fitted/tested it in but it certainly never went in a 205.

I also much preferred my standard pedal box and M/C+servo arrangement but unfortunately when I moved 16v it had to go... I ended up with a PTS pattern-replacement from AB Motorsport, and it works fine. One thing I would advise is considering some higher quality master cylinders than your basic Girling pattern-copy £10-a-piece M/Cs... I've had issues in the past with the pistons binding/seals wearing unevenly unless they're actuated into the MC precisely perpendicular (ie no loads onto the bore wall). If you're only after low usage and happy to check/replace them every few years then I guess a standard Girling one would be fine - just make sure it's genuine and not a horrible far-east pattern copy. Or else check for AP/Tilton equivalents (but dig deep in that wallet!).

Ive got the compbrake version on my rally car,...............And after spending the money i stuck with it, made it fit properly double skinned the brake pedal, and re welded up all the seams to stop it popping apart!, took off all the bolts that had 5/16 unf threads with a 1/4ww head!!,Oh also put circlips in the balance bar bore to stop the rose joint popping out of the side!, and fitted a pair of old genuine girling cylinders it now works as it should, oh and their customer service department..................................sorry sir we have never hada a problem before( yeah right).

Don't even get me started on their compbrake customer service......

However I can thoroughly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a very poor and slow customer experience!
