work has got in the way a bit now slowing things down but still getting a bit done.

honda front subframe was lightened a bit as it weighed a ton!;

008-5.jpg

gear linkage made out of 2 306 gear rods, gear change is a very short shift!

009-2.jpg

wiring is coming to, engine does run so all is good, honda switches and instruments being mounted on 205 column;

010-2.jpg

a very old capri racing tank is being mounted in the front and is a perfect fit.

011-1.jpg

012-1.jpg

dimma kit found on ebay and soon to be fitted;

love it.

I hear Valiant boilers are the best, although Woucester are pretty good too :)

if - and a big if - your using a dimmer kit, could you not cut out the inners of the fake vents on the rear arches and make them real vents, then plumb the radiator in there?

(granted they've already done the rad so it's academic anyway)

keep the pics coming.

The plan is to cut the vent in the kit and have the air intake one side and oil cooler in the other.

Their idea with the piping is as the Honda rad is small the copper pipe would aid cooling, but I personally would just fitted a bigger rad, but its not my car and Im not building it so have no say.

Ha wondered how long before someone spotted that!

Its a Ford Anglia with a Vauxhall red top, throttle bodies and should have close to 300bhp when done, thats their other little project.

Will get you some pics tomorrow if I can :)

but then someone had a bright idea as the didnt want it to just look like a 205, Im in 2 minds about it but it does look different for sure. they cut the Honda bumper in hafl to use as the 205 front bumper.

see what you think?

Great car, awesome attention to detail, but truly, truly horrendous bumper idea. Carl, please get them to go back to a 205 item please.

I have tried but they think it looks "mean" lol.

It kinder works if you see it in the flesh but does have a big chin a bit like a 206 Grand Torismo had.

I would have a 205 one but its not my car.

I agree with Jonny on this!

Although if they can take the curve out of the front of it and mate it up properly with the grill/lights it might look alright!

Far tidier fitment of the rear arches than I've previously seen on a Dimma Kit.

Saw one on eBay where the metal arches had just been cut + blootered with a big Manchester.. :-(

Re the Anglia - my mate had one with a 7 litre yank V8 in it running nitrous.

Had it two weeks before ripping the sump off on a drain cover (on the road), and getting instant engine death.

Slowly got round to putting new shells in it, then sold it without every starting it up again.

Was a shame as it could have been a really fun car if it had a few bits sorted on it.

Loving the 205.

205 front bumper - looks good in a "has the possible makings of something great, but currently looks a bit sh 1t" type of way.

Intersting project, and great build. Although I'm not sure it will do anything better than a fwd Vtec 205.

please keep a 205 front!

whats the ground clearance at the rear looking like?

Remember the PRD twin V6? That seemed silly low for the subframe but the honda one looks much neater!

Long time no update but work has been getting in the way of progress. but things have moved on, the long process of getting the kit fitted and getting rid of all the hair line cracks in it has taken ages! it is now finally done and the car is fully stripped ready to be painted.

here ready for primer;

and then fully primed

should hopefully get some colour on it this week!
