Wiper Motor Wiring

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, had a search but didnt bring up exactly i ws after.

my 205 rallye track car has had a complete race wiring loom both engine and electrics made for it but just have a couple of questions regarding the way the wipers are wired. ive got two feeds from the wiper stalk connector (no 3 and 4 on the brown block) that head directly to the wiper motor, and also one earth for the motor. i need to know which colour wire or terminal they plug into on the front wiper motor.

also i can't get the dip lights to work, ive got side lights and main beam with the blue light on the dash working but can't seem to get dip beam. tried working through the haynes manual but got seriously confused!

its like black magic all the dash wiring in a 205 (well mine is)

doesnt the tachemetric relay have something to do with the dipped beam etc?

Is the loom built from scratch or is it a cut down 205 one? My own 205 loom which i cut down, needed two wires joining in the centre which were in a connector(dont know what it went to) but joined them and it solved my problem.

If you have peugeot wire numbers still then find the dipped beam one inside and apply power to it to see if the problem is inside or out. Could be a problem if the Dim-Dip system was removed.
