I'd never use those and hate anyone that does as it's just a cheap way out and when Safety comes into it not worth it in my book,

It's a very thin pressed bit of metal which is never good, You can even flex some around the mounting point by hand so that says allot

so looks that that then a harness bar is pretty much the only way to go.

May be wrong but-Trouble with omp cages is the belts wont come out straight from the holes in the seat to the harness bars because the cage is narrower,im sure they will be at an angle(as pic above shows you are alowed a bit) ,might work but may not look right.

Never heard of a problem with putting them through the floor as you get a spreader plate which can be welded to the car,ive rolled in one like this and so have a few other people i know and the floor hasnt moved.

But as said it is better to be on a harness bar like most new design cages

You could weld some 3mm plate onto the floor somewhere and bolt through that with the proper mounting plates - provided you made the 3mm plate a decent cross-sectional area (ie. make it the size of a DVD box or bigger) then I doub't you'd rip that through the floor skin on an impact :) !!

OMP cages don't have harness bars??

And that's not the only trouble with them!

He means he will weld them in Baz.

There are better cages but they do there job, know 2 people who rolled last year with omp cages and they stood up well
