Saxo Break Or Sell..

Recommended Posts

As the 205 will be on the road soon, I now need to start making plan on what to do with the temporary 205 replacement the saxo!

I've had the car a year now and its on the brink.... The car is a 150k mile 1999 Saxo VTR, the rear beam is shagged, couple months MOT and a Month or so tax, there is knocking from the front end, but generally a tidy car. The finger in area calc on getting it up together is going to be around £150 depending on what I can get a better beam for, what is a fair chunk of what its worth!!

I just cant decide if it will be worth more as a whole car or as bits! I would really appreciate any suggestion from you guys on what to do.

price up the bits on it to see if its worth more but then you have the hassel of removing/getting rid of whats left, stick it on ebay with a reserve you happy with and its gone in one.if you try ebay first you can also break it later if it dosnt go but best to do this now while its still taxed/moted.

Get it on ebay and knock it out for whatever you can get, and fast while it still has some tax/test. Focus your energy, time and effort on the 205 instead.

There's not a great deal of money to be made from breaking a vtr there's so many of them around. The main things that sell on them are the rear axels which is nakered on yours the engines and gearboxs go for abit but yours are high mileage. Body panels can go for abit but only if there in good nick. Your probably best off sticking it on eBay as a whole car.
