Hi guys again, 1.9 GTI in trouble again: After getting the relay and fuel pump working recently, ive set about sorting the brakes which are completely knackered on the front so have been spannering around fixing this. Whilst I was at it I thought about sorting the rev hunting out whilst idling. Like the golf, lots of problems relating to the bosch MAF on the inlet. I took this off thinking some circuit board cleaner squirted about might improve things. The car is running some poxy K&N filter on the end with what looks like the jump box left hanging over the whole arrangement. Now re-fitted, the car wont srat at all, just spins over and thats it. I removed the wiring and then the whole MAF and tried but nothing at all. Any ideas?

check the plugs on shunt box are in fully one is for live feed to tachy relay contact for injectors and fuel pump.
