Insurance...

As we all now insurance premiums are on the rise, mainly due to the increased scams operating and the 'no win no fee' brigade, also not forgetting the very bad winter where a lot of people insist on trying to drive to work in 4ft of snow because if they don't man their till the company will go bust!

As myself and my partner have 4 vehicles between us I looked in to a 'family policy' through Heritage Insurance (had a quote from another but were more expensive). Anyway the outcome was we are both insured fully comp on all 4 vehicles with 3rd party extension to any vehicle not owned or hired to us, and this policy saved us £400 between us! :D

(Of course the downside being swmbo now being insured to drive my mustang! )

Insurances are companies that NEVER make losses. I would like to see the statistics about people claiming from their fully comp insurance due to uninsured other drivers before believing the hype about the reason of price increase!

Why do TPFT/3rd party only insurance cover goes up then?

How does an uninsured driver affects YOUR policy when you are TPFT or 3rd party only? BS! You simply can't claim anything.

Also what is the purpose of the common database they have so they know precisely what their competitor is charging? Is this any different to price fixing? Or has this stopped now?

Think for yourselves and don't always believe in the BS the media is feeding you.

It seems they jut woke up one day and decided to make more profit, let's create a reason for it in order not to upset our customers and also show them how we care for them by protecting them from uninsured drivers.

Rant over.

is the Mustang 500 bhp yet? :)

I was added to my GF's insurance yesterday, a lovely Honda Jazz that I think costs her about 500 to insure (she does lots of miles is older than me but has less NCB)

I have 2 recent unresolved non-fault claims, and it still only cost £17 ! :D

Am I reading this correctly? £17 for car insurance??

Anthony

I took that to mean it was an additional £17 to add him as a named driver on his GF's policy compared to just his GF alone being insured.
