Btw, I had the impression that the timing belt should be done every 48,000 miles/4 years not 36/3?

48k is the offical time but 36k is a better one imo as the belts age & for the sake of £10 for the belt & a couple of hours to do it far cheaper than an engine rebuild.

 

All sections of this manual are available on www.205gti.com or through m@tt's signature but tbh if you simply google for the 205 service & repair manual pdf you should find it pretty easily along with the same for the Citroen ZX.
