Alarm Missing! Grrrrr

When i bought my car last weekend, the seller said that due to the sensitivity of the alarm he had it disconnected, and if i wanted it back on i 'just needed to plug it in'. It was advertised with a Cat 1 META alarm system.

Well tonight i traced out the wiring loom, found the plugs....and no control box! It has been completely removed! Not impressed.

Sent him a few pictures of the plugs hanging down and the space where the box once was, including the cut cable tie that used to secure it.

 

Not happy.

 

Have asked him to call me to discuss....i am not holding my breath. I paid him a £100 deposit on paypal, so if i don't hear anything i will put a dispute in.

To be honest, given the dire state of most alarm installations that I see, he's probably done you a favour by removing it...

 

(worth double checking that what you've found isn't a previous alarm that's been removed, and that there's not another floating around somewhere - see that before a few times now)

Had the whole dash off looking for it....its definitely not there. The seller got back to me and gave me back my deposit (£100) by way of an apology. Just need to get a new one now. At least its parked of an evening in my alarmed and secure garage.
