Cold Stalling

Recommended Posts

davey205

I have replaced;

SAD, tps - calibrated properly, checked and double checked all pipes for dirt or air leakage, cleaned idle screw and replaced usual service items - plugs. leads etc.

It still stalls when cold - the only way i can get around it is by upping idle to 1500rpm , once its warm the car behaves fine.

Is there something I've missed replacing or checking to cure this problem?

I'll start a thread of my own but if you have any info on how you cured it that would be great :)

Slo

its usually setting up the air screw but mine usually needs holding the throttle down for a good ten seconds before it actually idles properly also check the screw that holds the oil filler baffle to the inlet manifold its an interference fit which just in case you dont know means if its loose it will let air through the threads
