Removing Slatted Boot Panel

Recommended Posts

Strictly_Derv

Hi been thinking of removing the panel from my car and removing the studs and placing the badges over the holes.

Whats the best way of doing it without damaging it?

Thanks.

I just replaced the whole boot panel, saved messing with existing one, I can't remember how the trim came off though, sorry. Have a look in a scrappy, you might get lucky, I did, cost me £20!

When i removed one once i found that once the clips came of the rivets it just slides downwards as they have a lip around the edges.

Yeah, Just remove the badges and slide the clips off that are hidden behind the badges, then remove the boot lock and just slide the slatted trim downwards. It's as easy as you getting back to me about that steering wheel

Took it off yesterday but it went straight back on

Paint work is really bad behind there, worn off all along the bottom half :( shame as it did look smart without it
