Brake Fitting Kit 1.6 Brakes!

Hi search function not working! What would the part number be of the fitting kit be for the 1.6 gti front brakes, thats the two little "L" shaped bars and the springs etc i see some on ebay but the seller says his are for unventalated disc! These keep the pads from falling out dont they? As my pad went flying out today!

You can get these fitting kits in your motor factors or i've even got a set in halfords before when I was stuck halfway through a brake upgrade!

Hi Chris, got sorted out there on ebay, managed to use service box and find the proper kit number so got a set sorted out allright! The car came with none of these retainers in it so i never thought too much about it untill i went down the road on its first test flat out and the pad went flying lol! Had to use the handbrake to stop! Other than that the car seemed allright, back axle feels fine etc All i have to sort now is the lights (bad earth!) etc and ill book an mot! Yeah!!

The car pulls incredibly well for a standard 1.9 engine its a sharp one alright!
