Btcc 2011

I have over previous years kept an eye on the BTCC, but not really followed it too much, but this season has started off great and was wondering if anyone else is following it too?

The last meeting at Brands Hatch was amazing, classic BTCC racing, great mix of cars, loads of battling, and of course Plato rolling the car in a big way, then a few hours later racing in round 6 with a pretty battered Chevy!

The championship is wide open, loads of different race winners, and a none race winner, Nash, is leading them all.

My money's on Neil, the car looks fast (when it's not broken or damaged) and he's a great driver, but there are also a handful of guys who have a great chance.

Anyway, looking forward to the next round, might even try to go along to Croft this season if I get the time!

Deano!

Iy is getting more interesting again but I think the driving standards need to be up'd a bit, it's always been a bit argy bargy but there was just needless contact in the races I've watched so far.

I also think they need to junk reverse grids and ballast. it doesn't give a true reflection of the team who have actually built the best car.

i'd much rather watch this than any other form of motorsport (apart from maybe WRC, and the Auzzie V8's). I'm glad there's contact and crashes... otherwise it would be boring. Like F1

I disagree, I think F1 has really got interesting this season, despite all the new rules and regs and cars are just getting quicker and quicker, its becoming more equal. They were one of the best things at goodwood as well.

If anything the helps iron out any technological advantages. If you win a race (because you have a better car), your car is penalised. If you win with added ballast, you earned it as a driver unless your car is THAT much better in the first place.
