As above really could do with quicker steering and might have a look around the scrapers but only if all xsara racks are the same.

No, they are different. Only the VTS have the quick rack, and the Mk1 and Mk2 differ slightly as well I am led to believe.

as far as im aware mk1 = 2.4turns, mk2 = 2.6/2.7turns

The pipe fitting are also different. If you want a simple bolt on and already has PAS in a 205, aim to get a Phase 1 rack as it will save you a fair amount of hastle sorting hoses out.
