Feed An Return On Gti Pumps

Just a quick one, I tried service box and the old haynes with no luck (search on here isn't working??)

 

Which outlet on the gti fuel pump is the feed and which is return!? I gave it a good clean but coundn't see any arrows.

 

I would assume the outlet in the middle is the feed and the one slightly offset is the return but just wanted to be sure.

I think you're right, the tank outlet nearer to the centre of the car is the supply with the return being the other.

 

As you look in the engine bay, follow the pipes back from the filter or intake manifold to be sure.

Thanks graham! Problem with following the lines back is i'v replaced all the lines on the rallye for the vts engine. I'll find out when miles tries to start it for the first time!!!!

That's how it is on mine & I recently replaced the fuel pipes so it should be right.
