Eccentric Top Mount Bearing

Recommended Posts

vickiw106

I am currently running compbrake eccentric top mounts on my 205 rally car.

during competing on an event last week we had a problem with the drivers side top mount bearing had pushed through to top mount

these bearings are checked for movement before every event and replaced if need be.

does anyone know of a different type of setup or bearing that can cope with the pressures/loads that the top mount is put under?

any thoughts?

thanks

Ian

The compbrake bearings as standard were traditionally always pretty s*it. You can put in better quality ones; mine lasted years and are still going strong - speak to Andy at AB (if you didn't last weekend ;] ) and he can sort them out. Not sure whether they are PTS or just uprated ones he sources from elsewhere, but he at least knows which ones last, whatever make/source they come from.
