New Brakes And Tyres

Recommended Posts

Just had fitted new rear OE brakes for my 1.6. Which seem a lot more responsive. Glad i finally got them sorted.

Also had fitted on the front some new Pirelli P6000. Think they are pretty good. I haven't gone for a long burn yet but they seem to be good enough. Anyone else bought these? had problems with them or think they are good?

Next is to buy new brake pads for the front, anyone got any suggestions? Needed for everyday use as well as regular burns.

I had p6000 on my leon and i was not impresses. had them from iirc 6mm to 2mm and they where horrible in the wet, and folded alover the place in the dry. a lot heavyer car than a 205 tho so may not be such an issue. have got new toyo's on now and it is much more balanced, less understeer than it ured to have with the 6000's

mintex 1144's have a good review, stay away from greenstuff unless you are a big fan of brake dust :D basicaly any mild uprated pad will be better, all have there own perks and cons... its personal preference imho

Shouldn't you have asked this BEFORE you bought and fitted them? Kind of a moot point now!
