Does any know have to remove the triangular piece of trim which covers the wing mirror screws with out damaging it?

Does any know have to remove the triangular piece of trim which covers the wing mirror screws with out damaging it?

 

From my expierience its not possable. If you didn't know, the cover is a 'push fit' with plastic pin/dowls on the back of the cover that locate into metel sleved holes in the door. I've took 4 of them off so far and the only one that I didn't snap the pins off was the one that was already broken and had been stick back on with mastic.

 

Its not the best pic, but the black blobs at the top and bottom are the broken stumps of the cover pins

 

 

One of the other side for compleatnes. The brassy coloured sleve in the hole near the top is what the cover locates into

 

 

 

The good news is that they are available on ebay so prob from pug too.
