Oil Pressure Switch Leak.

Recommended Posts

davemar

I've sprung an oil leak and it appears to be coming from the oil pressure switch sensor (the one on the left of the two). I removed it an cleaned up the surfaces and generally made it a good seal, but its still leaking. It appears that it's coming out of the sensor body (maybe the between the plastic and metal part). So I've order a replacement part in the hope that that fixes it.

Has anyone else seen this with this sensor? Rather ironic that the sensor that supposed to warn you about oil problems is causing one!

I have come across this before. Hopefully a new switch will sort it for you.

I have had this as well, I think it's quite common.
