Knocking Noise

hi,getting a knocking noise at very slow speed only,when reversing and turning etc.

1.6 gti any idea what it might be?

it might help if you could tell us when it happens(bumpy roads, turning, all the time, on throttle or off. ect,ect.)

 

we then might be able to point you in the right direction, as the description is quite vague at the min.

ok here goes,when reversing on lock,and when turning on lock.

this is only noticeable at very low speeds,its fine at all other times.

fire away with your anwsers :D

My bet would be on drop links.

If you jack up the front, remove the wheel and turn to full lock you should be able to see if the drop link ball joint/rubber boots are knackered or not.
