Latex Backed Felt Underlay

Recommended Posts

jason7579

I have no underlay in my car (I imagine a previous owner had a water leak) so I have bought some latex backed felt underlay but don't know which way up it should go, I have tried searching the forums with no joy.

Help?

TBH I only guessing on this, but the clue might be in the name

It'll deaden sound the same either way, surely. And it'll still get wet eventually so why give a f***? ;)

I didn't think it would make much difference in the way it went up but thought one side may be more waterproof than the other and it would be better to have that side a certain way. (my brain doesn't work very well at this time of night)

Now I just need a nice day to remove and wash the carpet before putting it all back in.

And at least when/if we sell our 205's we can honestly say that they come with an indoor swimming pool (in about 50% of cases it may even be heated - if you can call the asthmatic blowers in our cars heating!)
