So you want someone to swap an older, unknown gearbox for a later known good gearbox??

If so, i too have about 10 boxes i'd happily swap for known good working ones.

First off how would i know what i aint getting is duff, if someone decides to swap? (all comes down to trust) secondally someone might need a be1 gear box for a older model of 205. think you need to grow up and if you aint gunna post anything helpfull dont post at all. i mean you sound pretty clever from that brillliant sarcastic comment so you should be getting the gist of this one ;)

TBH Baz has a point! The person you are swapping with will have first hand experience of the BE3 gearbox you have said the BE1 box is in good working order, how do you know?

You don't! so as such should not say so.

Since I have my head right up my arse today STOP posting wanted adds in this section.

How do i know they have first hand experience? for all you know the same could of happened to them as it did to me.

So instead of mocking why dont you leave this post alone and let someone respond who actually might be genuine

If i am in the wrong forum show me where to post and i will relativley new to this so a little help wouldnt go a miss

Thanks for all your useful comments, helps alot

My point was you do not have first hand experience of the gearbox so you can't say it is working can you?

As for mocking you I don't think I did. I mean I didn't say you were hung like an elf or anything did I.

Its a public forum and if I want to post, I will! As for relevance they are. If another new member came on here looking for a BE1 gearbox they could read this and think happy days he has a good gearbox to swap/sell when the harsh reality of it is you don't know.

I assume you have been working with pugs for a long time the way you are talking? i also assume that you are expert, yes?

If so how about pointing me in the right direction to get a BE3?

Secondly I am not out to rip anyone off, i was told by the scrappy that i worked so unlike you i decided to trust someone, maybe i am a bit of a idiot for doing so but not everyone in the world is sceptical.

Expert! Me, F*** no. I would just not describe something as working if I did not know. I have just sold 2 BE3 boxes for £10 as I did not know if they were any good. And that is £10 for the 2.

I would look at e-bay or the for sale section on here. When you get to 30 posts and driver status you can put an add in the wanted section.

So you recon unless i go back to the scrappy i can only expect about a tenner?

Well aint i a mug lol

You and Baz are both right btw, Ignore me im just sore cause i know i have f**ked up

But i genuinly wasnt trying to rip anyone off, just relaying info that was passed onto me

both of these are be3 gearbox, the cheaper one covered in red paint does not state be3 but it is you can tell from the clutch arm it has got.having said that it is the incorrect clutch arm the one fitted does look like it is from an MA gearbox.
