Loose Dashboard Covering Above Glovebox!

Hi,when the weather is hot the vinyl covering the dash above the glovebox(small cavity/place to put phone/wallet etc)lifts up and sags.When the weather is colder it goes back flat but slightly loose.

Any tips please and is this common.

My idea was to use a craft knife and slice around it and spray carpet glue and stick it back!
