Idle Engine

Just got my car back on the road,re-built engine,ported polished head and inlet,kent fast road cam,skimmed head to the max,it drives fine s*it off a stick,problem is i cant get the idle below 10,000 rpm,tried the air fuel mix,the idle screw and twisting the dizzy,is 10,000 rpm normal,standard is around 7000 is it not?thanks

Didnt know 205's could rev that far but if you mean 1,000rpm thats about where i have mine and every other xs if owned but auto data does say to have it at about 750rpm but i like it sat nicely on a grand

Yes i think you mean 1000rpm, thats fine for an idle speed on a TU, i never got mine to idle as low as 750.

Ha ha,yes 1000 rpm,its a 106 kdx bottom end too,thats a relief,been trying for weeks to get the idle down to 750,thanks.

na not a myth i just found it wasnt so responsive sat that low would just bog out abit
