Track Rod Ends And 309 Bottom Arms

Recommended Posts

johnnyboy666

Is it safe to use standard length track rod ends when using 309 bottom arms? As obviously there is a lot less thread inside the track rod. Is there another type of tre that can be used with longer thread?

Standard TRE's are fine and there's still plenty of thread remaining. You need to wind them out approximately 6mm each side from memory

You could fit 309 track arms onto the rack

Are they different? I thought they were the same but interested to know if anyone knows differently?

Not really I've been using 205 track arms on 309 running gears, no problems at all

10 mm longer, ive had them side by side

+1

It's about 10mm difference, still tons and tons of overlap.

But yeah, worth getting some new ones on there if only for piece of mind.
