We all know its an easy fit with this conversion however is the specs of the i/c really up to the task? They are oldish and technology has moved on....any thoughts on this

Also does anyone have the dimensions of one of these as ive googled it and i keep getting different lengths/widths etc. Anyone actually got one in their shed to measure up for me?

Cheers in advance for any info !

I've got a couple in my garage

i'll try and get a few dimensions off them.

Should easily cope with well over 200bhp as that's what the cossie was as standard

That would be real nice if you could Matt. It would cost a bomb to get one sent over here but i can always replicate the exact same one with the dimensions eh? :}

It is certainly possible, but probably less hassle to sell the one you have, and just buy one without the chargecooler. There are loads on ebay etc, they are quite common.

You can weld the Cosworth intercoolers, they are made of decent quality cast ally, I've done a few now, you'll need an AC TIG welder though.

Mine have been cut and replaced with some ali pipe made into a 90 bend. Easiest thing if your having one made is just Measure the size of the pipes you want to mate up to it and have some matching added

Spiky

the chargecooler one would probably be perfect, thats an big turbo escort cossie one

the 2wd cossie item will be perfect, it it's find for a 280bhp cossie ( stage 1) then it will be fine on these 205's
