Saxo Gearbox Into Xs

hi, need a replacement gearbox for my xs need to keep the low final drive though so any 205 box wont do. not sure what other ma gearboxes will fit, have done a search the topic has been brought up frequently, however most of the time its inconclusive as there seems to be a divide on wether just some ma boxes fit or all. anyway had a look through citreon partsbox and there's a lot of saxo's with a 14/60 fd gearbox, almost all of 1.1's in fact. seeing as saxo's were invented for the scrapyard there's lots of low mileage gearboxes about, but would one fit??? and if it did would i just have to fit my cable speedo drive (externally!)

I think you need to swap the bell housing over from your xs box. not sure abbout the rest tho, if the driveshafts fit nicely in the diff / seals e.t.c.

i do know that xs the drive shafts fit into the saxo diff if it helps

but im interested in doing the same thing
