Fuel And Oil Filter

Recommended Posts

Just doing a service on my Mi 2.0 and wondered what's the best oil and fuel filter? Or doesn't it matter that much and just get one off ebay?

Thank you :)

Genuine pug oil filter very cheap and very good. Can't go wrong with mann fuel filters.

Depends on the dealer. The filters are now £10 from Pug dealers (although some will knock money off). Furthermore they are no longer Puflux filters but now Teca filters from China...

I have had no issues with Mann filters in the past mind you :).

If my old GTI6 is anything to go by it ran well (MPG improvement too) on Total Quartz 7000 and genuine filters.

Definetly get a genuine oil filter if you can, part number 1109AP (or 1109N2 if they have old stock). Could be one of two fuel filters depending if its before or after 28/02/1995. Either 1567c6 or 156713. And make sure you mention you are a trade customer because Pug dealers can give up to 50% discount on service items if they like you!

I have contacted my local dealer to see if they have, or can get any. If not, it looks like MANN will be the next best on ebay.

Oh, and I came across this, which is from an ex member from here:
