Tacho On Stack 8310

finally got the 205 running, but cant get the tacho to work

 

dont think i can use the input from the ECU

 

but have wired up the coil packs, like i did to get my elliot rev counter working and the tacho still dont work

 

starting to think there is an issue with the dash

 

 

anyone think of any ideas, any way to test the tacho?

 

would it require 12v or neg?

Should need 12v, you will need to set it up and tell it how many pulses it will see per revolution of the engine.

 

You will only need to take feed off of one of the coils, cannot remember which side though.

Coil on plug on my car, so you think one cable off one of the coils will be fine?

Sorted now, just need a feed from one of the coil packs
